Can't get rid of version 4.3

Currently running Inkscape 0.91, since it's release.
MS Windows 10
on an Asus desktop /AMD Phenom II X6 and 8gb ram.

0.91 works fine generally, and is the default app for all svg files in this installation. recently however, when opening a drawing file by selecting in explorer, the documents open in a separate process of Inkscape 0.48.4 r9939, regardless of when the file was created.

How do I remove the older, redundant, outdated installation? I can not find it as a separate installation on my applications..
