i am trying to split letters to cut in signcut because half of the c is orange the other half black

I have a logo( cnc) and there is a split through the middle and the top part of the cnc is orange and the bottom half black and I need to split them so I can send to sign cut individually can you please help many thanks ian hickman

Hi Ian,

I'm not sure if your problem is with the signcut device or the Inkscape software.

If you mean you'd like to split the file into two different files, so you can cut them from two different colored materials, then just copy-paste one half of your logo into a different file or copy-paste the whole logo into it. Then delete the halves you don't need in the respective files. If that doesn't work right away, make sure the halves do not belong to the same path or group and are not part of a raster image (select object, look at status line at the bottom).
