The inkscape does not add text to the path

I use Inkscape for a long time and whenever I need to add text to the path , give preference to Inkscape . Once installed windows10

inkscape no longer runs this function . Can anyone guide me how to proceed ?

did I understand correctly that you

- installed Windows 10 on your computer
- reinstalled Inkscape

and then the function
'Text -> Put on Path' does nothing, while you have selected a text object and a path object (see status line to check if you have selected the correct object types)?

To be able to help you, we need answers to the following questions from you:

1. Did you do a fresh install or an upgrade to Win10?
2. Which Inkscape version do you use?
3. Which file from our website did you use for installation? When did you do the installation? (before / after upgrade to Win10)
4. What happens when you say it 'does not add text to the path'? Just nothing? Does Inkscape say anything when you try (see status bar at bottom of window)?
5. Could you upload the svg file for us to check? (use a file hoster for this, the answers section does not support attachments)

Well, I do not know exactly what a file hoster, nor how to use it. I will try to explain in more detail the problem. I upgraded my computer to Windows 10. Some programs have disappeared with this update including Inkscape. So how much I use the program downloaded a copy of the Inkscape own site. But when I create a logo with the association's name around the circle (add text to the path) the program does not respond and nothing happens.

Here are some tipps to find the answer to the other questions:

2. Which Inkscape version do you use?
Look into Help -> About.
Is it 0.91 ?

3. Which file from our website did you use for installation?
Do you remember which one you downloaded?

4. Does Inkscape say anything when you try (see status bar at bottom of window)?
Please look into the status bar and tell us what it says when you try to put text on path.
If you use a Portuguese version, you do not need to translate what it says.

5. Could you upload the svg file for us to check?
A file hosting service is a website that allows you to upload files and share them with other people.
You can use https://framadrop.org/ or any other service you prefer.

Or if you know how to do that, a very short video would be best to see what happens - you could upload to youtube.

And one more question:

When you say 'the program does not respond', do you mean Inkscape freezes? (so you cannot do anything in Inkscape after trying to put text on path, but have to close the program and reopen it, in order to continue to work?)

Or do you mean it just does not do what you want?

i cannot provide answer im afraid as my text to path does not respond either,INKSCRIBE was installed after windows 10

there is tiny tiny text on path icon on a pull down dialogue box when attempting text on path took me hours to find it!
