Gradient edit does nothing

Gradient edit button does not seem to do anything in version 0.91 on windows 8! Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Hi Brian,

if you are referring to the icon in the gradient tab of the fill and stroke dialog:
with default Inkscape preferences (like directly after a new installation), it switches to the gradient tool, that allows you to edit gradients on canvas using the mouse and the toolbar at the top.
