How can I trace a black and white picture with a single hairline in inkskape

Hi Chris,

short answer:

you can't, currently.

Long answer:
The tracing functionality does not create stroked paths, only closed, filled, paths without a stroke, so you will always get an *area* of color.

You will need to do manual tracing or edit your drawing manually after doing the automatical tracing to get a stroke-only drawing.
