Can't open svg with inkscape

Hi leoheck,

as it worked with the previous Ubuntu versions (works with 14.04, too), my guess is that this is a problem in Ubuntu or Nautilus rather than with Inkscape.

might help (look at the options that describe setting this globally for your system - either via GUI/Ubuntu settings, or via modifying the corresponding configuration file).

Thank you for the references. The default application for .svg files is "Image Viewer" which is Ok. But inkscape is not appearing in "Open With" list, and I can't add it there. There is no field to add a program manually. I posted a question in ask ubuntu forum. Thank you.

I don't know what is going on, the Inkscape just appeared in the list right now. I just deleted the inkscape.desktop I found in ~/.local/share/applications. Maybe this can be a solution.
