Weird "endless" object was created after Inskcape crash

Asked by OVERD

Hello!
I used sculpting tool (Shift+F2) for changing line shape, and then I`ve accidentally activated Zoom into area (Shift+MMB+mouse dragging). Inkscape has freezed, and after a few seconds there was a message about an internal error. Before that Inkscape has created an autosave file. I`ve opened that file and I saw that the object that I edited is broken. Now it is displayed like is has no end. What`s wrong with that file?

Here is the screenshot that illustrates the problem: http://sta.sh/02b7zlukzhx3

Due to the earlier modifications - interrupted node-editing by a crash, possibly similar to the one tracked in bug #1483960 - one of the nodes has really huge extracted node handles which cause the path to be basically unrenderable within the current canvas limits in inkscape.

Here you find a clean-up file with a "fixed" version of the path (i.e. with the node handles of that one single node retracted):

Can you help with this problem?
