default.svg cannot be stored

because background is not transparant i will change de default.svg but i get "default.svg cannot be stored" in dutch "kan niet worden opgeslagen".In de past it go well.I had stored inkskape on the d: disk, but it started so slow that I have reinslalled on c:
please help Ger

Hi Ger,

I think the default.svg that you should use might rather be 'default.nl.svg' (if you use Inkscape in Dutch).

Depending on your operating system (Windows, probably), it could be that you are not allowed to save a file into the directory where you want to save it.

Look up the folder name here:
Edit -> Preferences -> System: User config

Add "\templates\default.nl.svg" to the end of it and save your file under that name.

Does it work now?
If not, please tell us where exactly you are trying to save the file to, and if you have permission to write into that path.

i forgot to say, but i tryed also to change default.nl.svg in templates.I am using windows 10.Some weeks ago i changed both defaults without a problem.

that User config i cannot find in edit-preferences,but i have found the solution.In the characteristics of default.nl.svg to my Surprise now user has no permission to change.After changing this i can save the new default.
