How do I save as Vector? tried everything, no luck?

For Inkscape. How do I get the right convertor to save as Vector. I seem to be unable to find the correct convertor. Can you help by giving me the correct one and the exact location to download? Thank you HGC

Hi,

"vector" is not a file format, the usual vector file format is .svg (Scalable Vector Graphics), which is the default format inkscape will save in.

Can you help with this problem?
