Path Bitmap Dialogue box stopped working

Need help with Inkscape. Yesterday I D/L & installed Inkscape 0.91.

 Imported a bitmap, selected & chose Path/Trace Bitmap, the dialogue box opened up where I was able to check settings etc, clicked update to see how it looked before bringing it into my workspace.

 All was working the way it's supposed to, then life got in the way so I shut down to work on it later....when I came back later to complete my work the Path/Trace bitmap dialogue box wouldn't come up anymore??? I've tried bringing in other images & it's still not opening the dialogue box. I have un/re-installed many times, making sure I reboot the PC after each uninstall and it still won't work. I don't know if I've turned something of that has caused it to stop working...I’m running Windows 8.1…Help Please!!!

Hi Shazcart,

take a look at the docking bar to the right of the scrollbar / snapping bar.
Probably the dialog you are looking for is either there as a dialog, or it is minimized as an icon and / or text.

Dockable dialogs are the default in Inkscape 0.91.
If you would like to get the floating ones back, change the settings in Edit -> Preferences -> Interface -> Windows.

Thank You so very much for your help. I have found the dialog, it was minimized on the right side as a text....I have changed my preferences Back to floating....Cheers and have a good day...
