CTRL + 0 (Zero)

Asked by Paul Hemsley

Hello,

I use quite a few programs where pressing CTRL and 0 (Zero) fits the page/item on the screen, I see that this function doesn't work with Inkscape, which is no problem CTRL + + and CTRL + - to zoom is just fine. I am really new to Inkscape and Vector Graphics but what I did notice after tracing a bitmap (some text JPG) and with it selected I inadvertently pressed CTRL + 0 and the letters became fatter/bolder for the want of a better expression, it was as though the paths pushed away from each other, so I thought I would try it on plain text and it works there too but nothing appears to change on the text toolbar. I think this function would be great if I could control it or knew what it was. I have searched Google and your Keyboard shortcut page for CTRL + 0 but can't find anything for it.

Thanks for your time
Paul

Hi Paul,

you can either set your keyboard shortcuts (in Inkscape 0.91) to whatever you like via the Preferences dialog.

Or you use Inkscape's shortcuts:
Q = Quickzoom to currently selected item
Numpad:
1 Zoom 1:1
2 Zoom 1:2
3 Fit selection to window <= THIS
4 Fit drawing to window
5 Fit page to window <= THIS
Ctrl+E, 6 Fit page width to window

(key reference is currently offline due to database failure)

Kind regards,
 Maren
