Hi Brenda,

is it your goal to create a pdf form with fillable fields, that one can open, and fill in using a pdf reader?

If this is what you would like to do, then I suggest you use LibreOffice (http://libreoffice.org/) or another tool (office suite, pdf creator) for this which is able to create pdf forms. This cannot be done with Inkscape.

If you would just like to draw a form, which can then be printed and filled out by the user, then you only need to use the text tool (F8) to create text anywhere on the canvas in Inkscape.

Don't forget to save your creation as Inkscape SVG (Inkscape's native format) first, because all other formats Inkscape exports to can be lossy. After this, you can save a copy as pdf, and check if everything looks fine in that file.

If this doesn't help, please provide more details about what you want to do with the form, and what it is supposed to look like.

Kind regards,
 Maren
