Normally I worked and has left me this alarm still work but as I can override

Hi PIMEM,

did Inkscape crash the last time you used it? It seems your settings file is somehow broken. This *could* have happened if Inkscape was writing to it while it crashed.

Rename the file to preferences.xml.bak (or move it somewhere where you can find it, in case we need you to upload the file).

Then restart Inkscape. All your settings will be lost (set back to default), but Inkscape will create a new settings file for you and it will work again.
