Hi Jose,

save your file as Inkscape SVG:
go to File -> Save as...
and select a name, the directory where you want to save the file and in the dropdown at the bottom, select 'Inkscape SVG' (it is the standard value).

If you need a png file (raster image format), for everything where a vector file cannot be used, go to File -> Export PNG Image, select the area (whole page? Selection only?...) you want to export to png, select a name / directory, and hit Export.

png files cannot be edited with Inkscape again, so *always* save as Inkscape SVG, and then export when you need it.
