How to import from a all-in-one printer/scanner

I'm using Inkscape for the first time, and trying, like I've been able to do with other graphics programs, import a drawing from my all-in-one printer scanner. The machine is an Epson Workforce 840, and it works with MS Paint, but cannot get it to work through Inkscape. Does this program have this capability?

No, this is not a built-in feature of Inkscape.
