Trouble logging in to www.inkscape.org

Asked by sharpart

I am having trouble logging in to https://inkscape.org/en/ and have tried to reset my password (even though I know the old one) and I did not receive an email (and did check my Junk folder and did wait about one hour).

Hi Roger,

we know there is a problem with logging in from the start page. This is due to a bug in our website, which we have not been able to resolve yet.

If your problem is that you get a warning about something with "CSRF" in it, the only thing you need to do is click on any menu item, and log in from that page.

If the problem is that you lost your password, and you still haven't received a password reset email, try password reset once more, maybe you just mistyped your mail address (I just tested, for me it works). If that still does not work, please send a message to the admin, telling him what your problem is and your username and mail address here: https://inkscape.org/en/contact/us/

(I was not able to find a user with something similar to your name among the registered users).

Regards,
 Maren

Thanks, Maren, but I still cannot log in. I don't get any emails (except from Launchpad). I registered today, Apr 20, (https://inkscape.org/en/user/register/complete/) but did not get that email to complete the registration process, either.

This time, I can see someone with your mail address in our user list. And launchpad also now shows your mail address publicly, and they match.

I guess that maybe your mail provider is filtering out the mails our website sent to you, as it works for everyone else. Some mail providers do this, just classify something as spam, and don't tell the person who is supposed to receive the mail about this. gmail is also one of the usual suspects for this...

So what I'm going to do now is reset your password, activate your account and send you an email with the new password.
Let's see if my mail gets through to you ;)

Regards,
 Maren
