I want to separate 2 items that are grouped together

I have an SVG file that I purchased It is bunny ears and has an inner ear and an outer ear I want to separate them into 2 files so i can do them 2 different colors.

Hi Elizabeth,

use Path -> Break apart

Or if they really are a group, press Ctrl+Shift+G.
