My inkscape design wont copy and paste into Word as I have designed it

How can I turn my inscape design into a useable logo image which I can copy and paste into documents? The current image pastes into word, but the effects I have used on it disappear. How do I turn the image into a logo or gif template?

Hi Nell,

go to File -> Export to png (or bitmap, in versions older than 0.91) and export your image as png file. You can then import that into MS Word (which does not seem to support all SVG features).
