I cant edit

I recently saved my drawing and exited Inkskape, when I opened it back up, I could not edit other than the size.

Hi ezra,

which format did you save to? Did you save as Inkscape SVG or as raster image, for example, png or jpg? If you saved as raster image, all vector data is lost and you cannot edit single objects any longer.
