All black page printed

tried to print a page of just text with lines. Got a full page of nothing but black

Hi David,

this sounds a lot like https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1418865 to me.
If you can add further information to that bug report, please do.

It looks like saving to pdf (or png) and then printing that from a pdf viewer / an image viewer works fine as a workaround.
Also, the 32bit version of Inkscape does not seem to suffer from this problem.
