is it possible to import fonts into the program

We are trying to import a font and are having difficulty with it. Is this possible to do?

Hi Sandra,

what is your goal? Do you want to edit the font itself or do you only want to use it?

a) if you want to edit it, you need to use an SVG font. You will not have to import it, but only open it with Inkscape. I don't know how well this works, though.

b) if you just want to use it, you do not need to import it at all. You only need to install it on your system and it will be available system-wide to any application including Inkscape after the next reboot (unless you use some font manager. The current Inkscape version 0.91 seems to have problems with those: see https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1416674 .)
