When is the projected release of Inkscape 0.92?

Asked by Mandy Knox

I wrote in a couple of years ago about a program I use for drawing called Creature House Expression 3.3. I explained how it uses B-Splines for drawing. I think I gave several examples including a link to download it to try out. I now Google from time to time, B-Splines Inkscape. I did this last evening...and much to my delight, I saw that you are doing it!!! I was so happy. :)

I saw that you are incorporating some other tools that the program has like warping, perspective, and so forth. I had made mention that the last copyright date on that program was 2003. I'm a Mac user. I adore Inkscape and Gimp...and now Libre Office. I'd place Gimp and Inkscape in a full on competition with their Adobe counterparts any day. I use them both on an almost constant basis. However, I had been doing my vector drawings in Expression. I'd gotten used to those B-Splines. NO ONE else had them. Adobe listens to no one's cries for them. Microsoft bought Creature House Expression 3.3, and it's already obsolete. You can download my same 3.3 version for Mac, and Microsoft's version for Windows, Expression Design 4. The Microsoft version cut out the "perspective" tool and some other important features when they bought it. Well, now, I guess the only drawing software with these magical little splines in Corel Draw. None for Mac users....only Corel Paint. Creature House stopped working on Macs after OS X 10.6.8. You guys are my saviors!

So, my only question is, will I be waiting long for 0.92 and B-SPLINES in Inkscape?

Sincerely,
Mandy Knox
