How can I change the colour of the popup help text

The colour of the text for the popup help messages is white text on a light grey background. How can I change the text colour to black?

which system are you on? And which Inkscape version do you use?

There was once a similar problem, see here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/166785

I had this problem with digikam, until I activated some compatibility options (I'm on XFCE/LM, and in my settings for 'session and startup', I activated loading gnome and kde runtime enviroments).

Inkscape would need something for compatibility with gnome, as it uses gtk.
