Opened a jpeg to edit but message says not bounded

Asked by michael wren

I am trying to edit a jpeg with the flood fill tool, but the program tells me it's not bounded. What does that mean?

Hi Michael,

the flood fill tool can only work on vector shapes. It does not know what to do with a raster graphic.

If you want to edit a jpeg file (like a photo), you might want to take a look at a raster graphics editing program, like the Gimp.

Or you can manually add a shape over the photo and choose a fill for that, but I think this is not what you really want, as it would be a lot of manual work ;)
