please tell me how to change the color of a monotone jpg from blue to red

I am trying to change the color of a jpg from blue to red. I am able to change it to black & white and I can also change it to orange. i think orange is set as a default or something but I can't seem to change it to any other color.

Hi Susan,

Inkscape, which is a vector graphics editor, is not the program you want to use for editing raster images, such as jpg. Even if Inkscape allows a lot of tweaking of raster images, there are programs which are better suited to the task, for example, Gimp and other raster graphics editors.
