Is there a way to select unfilled shapes as if they were filled (by clicking anywere inside the shape)?

Hello, I was wondering if I can treat shapes with no fill colour during selecting as if they had a definite fill colour. I explain further: if you have a shape with no fill, the only way to click-select is to click on its path, right? If you click inside it will not be selected. I CorelDraw there is an option for this issue: 'treat as filled'. Is there an option (or a defined key shortcut) in Inkscape to select unfilled shapes by clicking inside them?
