Does inkscape have any colour to alpha function? That is, converting background colour to transparent?

Asked by Brendan James

Hi, this is my current SVG https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1_sXH68hMWBTVRfc0Q3VmpVU0E/view?usp=sharing. Now, I'd like to be able to convert the white background in the picture to transparent. Is there any way of doing this?

Hi Brenton,

there are just two white rectangles which make the background white. You can easily delete them:

Use F2 and click on a white space in the poster to select the first white rectangle in the background, then hit F1 and then delete it with Del.
Repeat this for the second white rectangle.

 Maren
