Query about an Error Message

I received this error message...

Failed to load the requested file C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\GEIGER LOGOS\Geiger2C Curl Logo.eps

...when trying to import a logo from my desktop to my canvas. Why?

Inkscape is unable to import EPS files, it can only export them. You need to save the logo as another format in a different application. The File->Import dialog contains a list of supported import formats.

Chris, Thank you very much for your input. But where is the list of supported formats located under File>Import? I see nothing. I thought to work on (or change) an eps image you must drop in a eps image.
