Trying to make a copy of a grape but the radial gradient doesnt copy with it.

Asked by Dawn Wilson

I am making a bowl of grapes, I have made one grape added a radial gradient to it and now I am needing to make copies of the grape to make a bowl full of them. When I press ctrl + c and then ctrl + v, it copies the grape but not the radial gradient I used on it. How do I get it to copy both the grape and the radial gradient I used at the same time?

The corresponding setting is described in this section of the manual:
http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Transforms.html#Transforms
(scroll down to "Fourth, there are a number of options that can be toggled on and off")

Basically, if you paste a copied object, it is inserted at the original position and then moved to the current position of the mouse pointer (or to the center of the current view if the mouse pointer is outside of the canvas area). This 'movement' is also affected by the toggle for the gradients on the select tool controls bar: if the toggle is off, the gradients stay at the original position, and the object is moved; if the toggle is on, the gradients are moved along with the object).
