how to put a square behind the font?

i want to do a logo but i cannot put a coloured square behind a font?

Hi Sarah,

Yes, you can :-D
Just create the square, choose it's color, move it to the place where you want it to be, keep it selected and press the 'Page down' (PgDn) button repeatedly until the square is below your text.
