Hi Ken,

there are two ways you can do this:

option 1) import tiff and 'trace bitmap', then edit the result and save to the chosen file format (probably dxf). More info on tracing: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Trace.html

option 2) import tiff and trace manually, then save to corresponding file format

Option 2 is often more efficient, especially if the tiff is:
 - small
 - or contains only the cut lines, and not filled-out shapes
- contains only simple outlines without too many details

The tracing step - whether manually or automatically - is necessary, because the tiff file only contains a raster image, but your autocad needs vector info.

Can you help with this problem?
