tweak tool doesn't do anything

I am trying to use the tweak tool but it isn't doing anything. The objects I am trying to tweak stay exactly the same. It doesn't matter what width or force I set, none of the modes do anything at all. How do I solve this problem? Thank you!

Hi Beth,
you need to select the objects you want to move around / tweak first.
Does this help?

I had a group of rectangles selected and it didn't work. But it works now. Thanks!
