Can't create a circle

Asked by Jon

I am using the circle tool to create a circle. All I get is a dotted square line around the area in which I tried to create a circle. I tried right clicking on the fill: option in the lower left of the screen and selecting Black but this did not help. Thank You!

I assume the circle is actually there but the color is set to "white" or invisible: No fill and no border. The rectangle shows the smallest box the thing that is currently selected fits into (named the Bounding Box of the object).
When the said rectangle is selected click on a color in the palette at the botton of the screen. Or if the palette isn't there select "Object/Fill and Stroke (Ctrl+Shift+F)" and choose a line width and collor (or a fill color and transparency you want).

Kind regards,

    Gunter.

Gunter,

Thank you for your assistance! Unfortunately this didn't solve the problem. I tried several different colors from the palette as well using the fill and stroke tool. I even adjusted the line width to 2.0 px. Any other thoughts? Thanks again!

Ahaa!! The Opacity was turned down to zero. That did it. Thank you!!
