drawing overlapping lines

Asked by phillysideup

for some reason I can't figure this out. When I am using the calligraphy tool, whenever I overlap my lines, they black cancels each other out, and the overlapping part comes out white. how do I just get it to overlap and be a normal black colour??
thanks.

Go to the fill and stroke dialog. In the right upper corner in the fill tab, you see two shapes: one is all black, the other one has 'holes'. Select the one which is all black for your object, this will fill the entire object, even if it overlaps with itself.
