how do I convert a picture that shows pixels to a clear picture

Asked by Connie Foster

I have pictures taken with a cell phone, some downloaded off the internet and some I got off of a CD that show up with a lot of individual pixels and are just unclear. How do I clear them up?

Hi Connie,

not with inkscape ;-)

To edit and improve photos, you should use a software which is for raster graphics, like gimp (open source) or photoshop - but don't expect wonders, there are limits to what a graphics program can do.

Inkscape is a program for vector graphics. Vector graphics do not consist of pixels, but of curves and fills. Inkscape is not useful for photo editing, but for creating logos and clip art (visit openclipart.org to see some vector graphics).

Can you help with this problem?
