Inkscape

pictures not importing

 Picture previously embedded in inkkscape files are turning into a box outlined w/ read, and w/ a red X through it. Newly imported pictures are coming in this way.

Can someone tell me what's going on?

It was in outline mode. Changed to normal and it's fine.
