saw a video on using text for a laser/engraver and he used hersey text,but I can locate this please help thanks Harold

For current stable Inkscape 0.48, you can find the extension here:

In the meantime the authors kindly submitted the extension to Inkscape, and it will be included out-of-the-box in the next major release 0.91.
