how remove box around pdf file opened in Inkscape to make SVG file for cutting in sil cameo

when I open my PDF file in Inkscape there is a 'box' around it ...how to remove the box and save the file as SVG so I can move to my cutting software....thanks for your time and help

You mean, the page ? The page is just an outer visual artifact for seeing the dimension of the image, it should not appear in your drawings. ( http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Anatomy.html#ftn.id674075 )

If you really mean some rectangle you want to remove, ungroup whatever would need to be ungrouped, select the rectangle, and just delete it ;)
