You cannot at this time edit a bitmap picture from within Inkscape. You can apply bitmap filters (Effects -> Raster) which non-destructively affect bitmaps, but full bitmap editing must be done in an external bitmap editor (such as GIMP).

If your imported image is a link to the file on your drive, you can edit the file and (after reopening the Inkscape document) the changes will appear in Inkscape.

How about editing text from an eps image that's already been vectorized by some other software(don't know which one)Because i recently bought some clipart that was ready to be cut on my vinyl cutter but want to just delete the text and add my own text to it.the guy i bought it from just gave me a download link which i downloaded and he also told me that the images are vectorized ready to be cut and that i could use any vector program to just delete the text.

Can you help with this problem?
