How open default-folder with saved drawings...

Asked by Hans Peter

I have succeeded in making a folder where my drawings are placed when I click on the save-button. But how do I directly get to this folder when I click on the open-button?

Really?? .....Well maybe I don't understand the question.

I only know about Windows. And my experience in Windows, is that Inkscape's Open dialog opens the last folder you opened with it. If all your drawings are in that folder, and there are no subfolders, and all you ever open are those drawings, then it should open that folder, every time.

But if you should ever open an image in some other folder, the next time you click Open, it will open the folder where that image was. But all you would have to do is browse back to your inkscape folder. That's why I think I might not understand the question. Do you not know how to browse back to it?
