Inkscape

only saves partial image to desktop

I'm saving in svg or pdf to my desktop after conversion from raster to vector. Inkscape is only saving a small portion of my image in either of these two file extensions. Why?

Inkscape is saving the whole image. What you are seeing is that the image extends beyond the page boundary.

Go to File->Document Properties->Resize image to drawing or selection and click "Resize image to drawing or selection" with nothing selected to resize the page to the drawing.
