txt to vector as a dxf file

Hi there new to all this so here goes. Trying to get txt converted to vector to then save as a dxf file to then machine on a masterwood woodworking cnc . So I tried a txt for example A B. Went to path then object path. It showed a few points saved it as dxf then imported onto win 98 cnc program. The A worked but the B was missing all the curved sections any idea what im doing wrong

Hhmm....

So are you saying that only part of the B shows up in the CNC.....well I assume there's some kind of viewer, or display on your screen. Or did you actually cut the text into (or out of) the wood?

Since part of the B shows up, that indicates to me that your general process is good. It's just figuring out why you don't get the whole thing.

Is the whole AB is inside the Inkscape page border? Did you have anything else on the page, besides "AB"?

If no one else answers, I would suggest posting in a more traditional type of forum, where you can attach the file for people to examine. (http://inkscape.org/en/learn/) (because I don't know what else the problem might be)

Oh! I have another idea. Sometimes it matters whether you use Flowed Text or regular text.

If you dragged out a text box first, and then started typing in it, you made flowed text. For regular text, just click once on the canvas and start typing.

Worth a try anyway :-)
