cannot locate "contour Cutting Template"

Asked by Ken Kidby

Watching videos of "how to" contour cut with US Cutters Laserpoint II, they say to open "contour cutting Templete" to place registration marks into workspace. I cannot find such a file.

You'll have to ask you machine hard- or software maker about that.

I think Inkscape does have an extension to put those marks on a file, but it doesn't come packed with the program. (not the current stable version, anyway) Here's the extension repository, where I'm pretty sure you can find the right extension. http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/ExtensionsRepository

I can't remember exactly what it's called, but I doubt if it's "contour cutting template". That must be something to do with your machine.

Please disregard that last message. It got posted by accident, and I don't see how to delete messages here.

Whatever "contour cutting template" is, must be part of your machine's hard- or software.

Inkscape does have an extension to put those marks on a file, but it doesn't seem to be in the repository. I would suggest searching InkscapeForum.com, because that's where I saw it. Or searching the internet should work as well.

Ok, it turns out the extension I was thinking about IS packed with the current stable version. Extensions menu > Render > Printing Marks.

I'm not positive that "Printing Marks" is the same thing as "registration marks". But I think it is.

Sorry for all the confusion.
