Using Inkscape 0.48.4 r9939. Importing Chinese document in AI format. Need to insert logo and delete Chinese text. When trying to open, I get "Glib-ERROR**: gmen.c:239: failed to allocate 1073741824 bytes aborting". "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate . .". Can you help?

I could be wrong about this, but I don't think Inkscape is capable of opening an AI file. Maybe you could convert it to SVG, somehow, before opening in Inkscape?

Can you help with this problem?
