Inkscape

SVG allows for desc attributes. Can we edit them in Inkscape?

We would like to use Inkscape to edit a DXF file and save to SVG which it can do excellently. We also need to tag the SVG elements with a bit of data that we will use when loading that file into our web page. We were thinking of using a "desc" or some other custom attribute as described here:

Do you have anything in Inkscape that would let us do that?

right click on object > object properties > big field "Description"
