How do I fill text with a background image?

I would like to fill text with an image and have nothing remaining except the filled text. How Do I do this?

You could do that with Clipping.

Or you could also convert the image to a pattern, and fill the text with the pattern. You *might* have better control over the image, with a pattern fill, than with clipping. But not necessarily.

If you need instructions, I would need to know which way you want to do it. Do you think you'll need to adjust the image (larger, smaller, rotated, moved over) so that certain parts of it are showing in the text? Or it doesn't matter which parts of the image will be showing?

I know I've seen a tutorial for this, but I can't remember where Oo
