How do I convert a jpg or png to an emf file type?

Asked by Marilyn Furlong

We have several retailer logos in a jpg, png, or gif file format and need them to be converted to an emf file format. Is this possible with Inkscape?

Inkscape supports EMF import and also export, however this feature is limited to Windows as it uses system libraries.
Make sure to check your graphic as converting also depends on the support for element properties.
Moreover, if you wish to save your bitmap sources as a vector document you have to redraw them or try the results of the bitmap tracing feature (Shift+Alt+B).

and by searching for "Inkscape emf windows"

Good luck and happy editing!
