Planning to add selection changes to undo/redo levels?

As an intense recommendation/request, I humbly insist you add selection changes to undo/redo.

i.e. 1. Presently, when you undo an action, it completely discards your current selection. (The selection doesn't functionally/necessarily need to be discarded in most cases).
i.e. 2. If you accidentally deselect your selection, you can't hit "undo" to re-select. (It ought to re-select.)
i.e. 3. If I make a few unwanted changes to my selection, I can't hit "undo" to simply revert to my previous selection. (Etc. and so on.)

I love Inkscape so darn much, and after having gotten accustomed to the selection undo/redo functionality in Gimp, it stands out as extremely cumbersome to not have the selection changes preserved in undo history. Please let us know. Many of us look forward to it. Thanks!
