Issue with points on a map - colour and outline

I saved my .svg map as a PDF and the points I plotted on the map changed from yellow to white in colour. I have no idea why this happened and what to do about it.

Also, when I copy a point, the new point has a white outline around it that the original point did not have. I need to remove the white outline.
