Windows opening off screen

Hi
I am new to Inkscape and macs. I have installed Inkscape on my new iMac running Mavericks. I also had to install X11 in order for it to run. Some of the windows that open up such as the Export Bitmap and Document Properties open up slightly off scree in the top left hand corner. They are so far off screen that I cannot move them or get to all of the settings.

I have a clear idea how to solve it on linux (alt+click and drag) but no idea if that works on a mac.You may to change the resolution of your screen to an higher one to put the window at a correct place ?

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on my mac. I've found that if I close it down and quit XQuartz then start it up again, that sometimes repositions the windows.
